The U.S. Open is one of the world’s oldest and most coveted annual tennis tournaments

First contested in 1881, The US Open is one of the world’s oldest and most coveted annual tennis tournaments. Staged over a two-week period the tournament consists of five event championships. Hospitality at the US open is everything one would expect of a premier sporting event.

The US Open is still held annually, starting August 27, and lasting for two weeks until September 9, with the middle weekend falling on with Labor Day. The tournament consists of five event championships: men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles, with additional tournaments for senior, junior, and wheelchair players of tennis. Since 1978, the tournament has been played on acrylic hard courts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, Queens, New York City. The US Open is owned and organized by the United States Tennis Association. The US Open, by far the nation’s biggest tennis tournament, returns to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center August 28 through September 9. The Grand Slam event brings together the world’s best players along with great food, kids’ activities and musical performances, and draws fans from around the globe.

There are many ticket options, ranging from single games starting at $65 to $100 for the cheap seats to around $245 to $1,000 for seats closer to the action, to a full pass (which starts at $2,125) that will allow you to see all the games and get you some pretty sweet amenities, like a personal concierge.

The tennis world waits in anticipation for the U.S. Open in New York City, the last of this year’s Grand Slam tournaments. The Open is an incredible opportunity to see seasoned champions and impressive up-and-comers, as well as indulge in some fine dining, celebrity sightings and some light sports-fashion criticism. Here are the five things we’re most looking forward to at this year’s festivities.
