After attending the University of Texas at Austin for a Bachelor's in Architectural Engineering, Mr. Heide decided the allure of flight was stronger than a career in construction. He joined the United States Air Force and for nine years served as a Navigator and Bombardier on B52's. After Desert Storm I he left active duty, went back to school and received his Masters in Liberal Arts degree at Texas Christian
